About Our Club

Mission Statement

The SCW Broadcast Club’s mission is to help Sun City West residents lead healthier, more active lives by educating, informing and encouraging them to participate in activities, learn about the community and take advantage of services offered by local organizations.  This will be done through a variety of broadcast mediums and consistent community outreach.

Vision Statement

The Broadcast Club’s vision is to help the residents of Sun City West and the surrounding area be informed of community news and events, be given the opportunity to express their opinions, display and improve their talents and share their experiences. The operation of a low power community radio station will be the primary way to inform and disseminate important information as well as provide entertainment through homegrown programming. The Club will also maintain an Internet radio station, website and social media presence to help part-time residents stay in touch with the community during their absence.  Club members will participate and assist at local community, charity and other Chartered Club events to promote resident involvement and foster volunteerism. The club will continually dedicate itself to growth and improvement in all areas to increase it’s value to the community while maintaining its focus on benefits to Sun City West residents.  Funding and support for the activities of the Club and operation of the low power community radio station will be accomplished primarily through donations, fundraising, sponsorship and alliances with other clubs and local business.

Either time, you can meet some club members, learn how the station opeates, and what you might do to help. No prior broadcasting experience is necessary, and you will discover a fun group of radio enthusiasts. You can see all of the club’s meeting times on the “Meetings” tab of this web site. (Note that meeting times are reduced from May through September.)

If you would like information about a KSCW “promo” announcement on the air for your organization, please visit suncitywestradio.com or write directly to the Programming Committee at suncitywestradio@gmail.com. Or you can visit the studio at the times mentioned above to discuss your announcement with our staff.
