is one of Sun City West’s newest chartered clubs. It’s purpose is to help Sun City West residents live even better lives by adding another way for them to communicate with each other. Through a variety of broadcast mediums, residents are encouraged to participate in activities, learn about their community and take advantage of services offered by local organizations.
Although we still need to raise the funds for the rest of the equipment required by the FCC for the FM station, both KSCW-LP (Low Power) 103.1 FM and the Internet station are on the air playing music, club promos and announcements 24/7. We are thrilled with the enthusiasm and turnout of those who have submitted (and sometimes recorded) club promo scripts, PSAs and “Golden Nugget” jokes. Programming Committee members have conducted interviews and are in the process of creating several programs.

Beside the obvious need for operating funds, on-air, technical and engineering talent for the KSCW radio stations, we also need club members who volunteer to represent the club at events and help with daily administrative operations. Most of us are re-purposing our skills from earlier careers, learning and teaching each other as we go along. Becoming an active member can be a rewarding experience. It is a wonderful way to give back to a community you love.... plus…..it’s lots of fun !
